Itinerary:
Day 1– ISTANBUL Today,in we arrive to Turkey, Istanbul.
A localthe guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at
hotel.
Day 2 – sixth century; the Roman Hippodrome, The Blue Mosque; 17th century work; The visit of the
Topkapi Palace; the first Ottoman palace from the 15th century, the Church of Santa Irene from the
6th century.
Day 03 – ISTANBUL - PERGAMUM – THYATIRA – IZMIR by bus Morning visit to Pergamum, climb up to the Acropolis by cable car and see the pagan temples
and Altar of Zeus. We will also see the Red Basilica and visit the healing center, Asklepion
before departure. On our way to Izmir (Smyrna) we will visit Thyatira, one of the seven
churches in Asia Minor. Continue on to Izmir for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 – IZMIR – SARDIS – PHILADELPHIA –
HIERAPOLIS - PAMUKKALE After breakfast visit Smyrna, which was the second one of the seven Christian churches in Asia
Minor to which St. John the Divine wrote (Revelation l-11). Depart for Sardis, another one of
the Seven Churches mentioned by St. John. Continue to Philadelphia to, another one of the
Christian congregations, and a city built in 2 BC by King Eumenes. Continue to PAMUKKALE
(Hierapolis). Watch the sunset over the petrified waterfalls. HIERAPOLIS and Overnight in
Pamukkale
Day 05 – PAMUKKALE-LAODICEA – PAMUKKALE
Visit Laodicea, originally called Diospolis, "City of Zeus.", The ancient city of Laodicea
consists of Zeus Temple, Theater, Church, Monumental Fountain, Odeon, Imperial
Cult, Caracalla Fountain, Syria Avenue, Gymnasium, and Stadium.
Day 06 – PAMUKKALE-EPHESUS-KUSADASI
Continue to Ephesus. See the final abode of the Virgin Mary, where she spent her last years.
Tour through ancient Ephesus to see the old synagogue, the theatre where St. Paul preached.
(Acts 10), the Library of Celsus and other sights. Overnight in Kusadasi
Day 07 – We set sail at 13:00 for Patmos, Greece. Lunch on board. At 16:30 arrival in Patmos
(disembarkation by tender boats, sea & weather permitting). It is here that the Apostle John
wrote the Book of Revelation (Rev 1:9). Don’t miss an optional guided visit to St. John’s
Monastery and the Grotto of the Apocalypse. Sail to Heraklion, Crete at 21:30. All meals and
overnight on board.
Day 08 – ON CRUISE (HERAKLION, Capital of Crete -
SANTORINI)
At 07:00 arrive in Heraklion Crete (Acts 27:7-13). Enjoy the included guided excursion to visit
the Minoan Palace of Knossos, first European civilization and the legendary home of the
Minotaur (half bull and half man). At 12:00 noon,the sail to Santorini. Lunch on board. Arrive at
16:30. (Disembarkation by tender boats, sea & weather permitting). Join the optional guided
excursion to visit the beautiful and picturesque village of Oia, where you can see the famous
blue domed churches, or take the cable-car up to the town of Fira, perched high on the rim of
the ancient volcano. Free time for taking photos, browsing, shopping, and enjoying the
breathtaking view of the caldera. Sail for Piraeus at 21:30. All meals and overnight on board.
Day 9 – DISEMBARK FROM CRUISE – ANCIENT
CORINTH & ACROPOLIS MARS’ HILL
After breakfast on board,blue-domed disembark at the port of Athens and meet the local guide.
Day 10 – Departure
Today, we transfer to the Athens airport for our flight home/Rome
Day 11 – Rome
Arrive in Rome and start the half-day tour. Visit the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill.
Day 12 – Rome
After breakfast, start your full-day tour -visit the ancient and Mamertine Prison. Continue to the
Vatican and see St Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel.
Day 13 – Rome - Hometown Departure transfer
